A chemical factory in Ilorin, Kwara state capital, caught fire on Wednesday.
The incident occurred about 10pm, at Dominion Foam and Paint Chemical Company, situated along Lubcon Avenue Street in Ilorin metropolis.
POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that the inferno destroyed properties including the factory building structure before the arrival of fire service men.
This was as a result of combustion rate, due to the chemical nature of the materials that were on fire.
However, the fire officers were able to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading to the adjacent buildings in the vicinity area.
However, the Director of Kwara State Fire Service, Falade Olumuyiwa has urged the general public to be more safety conscious and alerted in cases of emergency.
