Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State in Friday lamented the degree of destruction caused by the flooding in Nigeria which has become an “overwhelming” disaster in many states, including Bayelsa.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Otuoke town in Ogbia Local Government Area (LGA) of Bayelsa State, which is the countryhome of former Nigerian president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is also affected. This newspaper learned that his residence has been submerged by water.
Speaking when he visited the LGA on Friday, Governor Diri said the former Nigerian leader is now an Internally Displaced Person (IDP).
“Now I am in Ogbia, precisely at the residence of the former president of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.
“You can see the degree of destruction here in Otuoke. The water current is as if there is a river here.
“This is what I have been saying. Bayelsa is under attack of natural disaster.
“The whole premises of our former president and the community is under attack. And this is where you also have the federal university.
“This situation makes the former president an IDP,” Governor Diri said.
By the Grace, it’s unfortunate to see how some states are being destroyed by water flowing from a Dam in Cameroon Republic, we sympathize with our dear XPresident for losing the house temporarily but thanks MaharajJi for being alive.
However we have to subpoena all the past presidents to come and explain why the recommendation by experts on the matter was not effected.
For allowing us to lives of our future presidents, doctors and potential lawmen and women, etc, who have died, I recommend that their gratuities be forfeited to serve as a deterrence for President Buhari who is being asked to initiate the process of building the Dam as tequested.
No doubt from the spiritual realm, this is manipulation by Europe through the French Connection and therefore steps be taken to sue the French Government for such act of terrorism.
Once again we feel and beg for all those affected and wish General President Buharie to issue as a matter of urgency a cheque for ,N50 billion Naira as emergency for the weary, weak and strong.
