For Allegedly Threatening Seyi Tinubu, IGP, Woman Gets N10 Million Bail

Olamide Thomas, the lady was accused of allegedly threatening the president’s son, Seyi Tinubu and the Inspector General of Police has been granted bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

Thomas was granted N10 million bail with a surety in like sum in a ruling delivered by Justice Emeka Nwite, on Monday, January 6, 2025.

In his ruling, the judge said there is no concrete evidence presented by the prosecution to show that Thomas would jump bail or even interfere with trial should her bail application be grated.

Justice Nwite said, “I have carefully examined the affidavit evidence of both the defendant and the complainant.”

The Judge further ordered that the surety – a resident of the court’s jurisdiction – provide an affidavit of means alongside a clearance certificate of three years before the court.

In addition, the court also ordered Thomas and her surety to deposit two recent passport photographs with its registrar.

Further adjourning the matter to February 18, 2025, the ordered that the address provided by the surety must the verified.
