Former IGP Eulogises Buhari at 82, Describes Ex-president as Nigeria’s Beacon of Hope

As he turns 82, former President Muhammadu Buhari has been described as a beacon of hope for all Nigerians.

This description of Buhari was given by an ex-Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, as the former celebrates his 82 years birthday.

In a tribute released on Tuesday, December 17, the former IGP said Buhari remains a beacon of hope for Nigeria’s unity even out of office.

Arase said that the former president had inspired several generations and left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s history.

He also stated the Buhari’s integrity and fight against corruption have set foundations that Nigeria and her people would forever be grateful for.

He said, “Buhari remains a beacon of humility, simplicity, and moral uprightness even beyond his time in office.”

He added that Buhari remain a profound honour which he would forever cherish.

“Your life has been a journey of sacrifice, discipline, and steadfast commitment to the progress and unity of our beloved nation, Nigeria.

“From your early days as a young officer to your time as Head of State and later as a democratically elected President, you have remained steadfast in your principles and values. Your leadership, marked by integrity and resilience, has inspired generations and left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s history”, Arase added.

He further prayed that Allah continue to grant Buhari good health, peace, and fulfillment.
