Former President Buhari returns to Kaduna residence after two-year absence

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to his residence in Kaduna State, marking the end of a nearly two-year stay in Daura, Katsina State.

The move comes after he stepped down from office in May 2023 and opted for a quieter life away from active politics.

Buhari’s return to Kaduna was accompanied by a high-profile entourage, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani.

Other dignitaries present included former power broker, Mamman Daura, current and former deputy governors of Katsina State, a former Inspector General of Police, former ministers, and several of his aides.

During his time in Daura, Buhari maintained a low profile, focusing on private engagements and avoiding direct involvement in political discussions.

Recently, he revealed that he has been generating income by renting out one of his two houses in Kaduna.
