Former President Trump’s trial for Election Fraud in Georgia to be Televised

A judge has ruled that former President Donald Trump’s trial in Georgia over charges of election fraud will be livestreamed and televised.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that according to Judge Scott McAfee, all the hearings will be available live on Fulton County Court’s YouTube channel.

The trial is scheduled to begin next year, but a date has not yet been set.

Trump and 18 other people are charged with a conspiracy to overturn the state’s 2020 presidential election results. They are accused of pressuring Georgia officials to reverse the results of the election, which Trump lost to Democrat Joe Biden.

Prosecutors allege that Trump made a phone call to the state’s secretary of state in which he asked him to “recalculate” the vote tally.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He has also waived his right to appear in court at his arraignment next week.
