A former Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmed, has reacted to the killing of a notorious bandit commander, Kachallah Buzu, by the Nigerian Army.
Recall that Buzu was killed alongside several of his fighters, in what has been described as a breakthrough against banditry and terrorism.
He was neutralized the night of September 12 in Mayanchi village by troops from the Joint Task Force Northwest OPHD in Zamfara state after an ambush was laid by the military following intelligence reports on the terrorists’ movements.
Reacting to the killing of the bandit, Ahmed praised the military for taking out the terrorist.
He prayed that Bello Turji would be the next to be killed, expressing optimism that Nigeria would prevail.
“May God bless the Nigerian troops! Halilu Sububu Buzu, a notorious bandit from the Niger Republic who had been terrorizing the good people of Zamfara and its surroundings, met his end at the hands of the gallant Nigerian army.
“By God’s grace, Bello Turji will be next. Nigeria will prevail,” he wrote on his X handle.
Bello Turji has been declared wanted by the Nigerian military.
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa had said time is ticking against Turji and other bandits and terrorists as troops are committed to ending insecurity in Zamfara and the North West Zone.
