“From one failure to another failure” – APC chieftain blasts Yahaya Bello for seeking Ganduje’s seat

Alex Kadiri, a former Senator representing Kogi East, has criticized the campaign by supporters of the immediate past Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, for the position of National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Kadiri described the campaign as a “crude joke taken too far” and accused those behind it of being enemies of the party working with fifth columnists to weaken and destroy the APC.

In an interview in Abuja, Kadiri expressed his disappointment with the state of affairs in Kogi State under the APC, highlighting the alleged excesses of the Bello administration.

He criticized some party leaders in the state for tolerating these excesses and emphasized that the APC’s national secretariat seemed indifferent to the situation in Kogi.

Kadiri specifically pointed out incidents during the new governor’s inauguration in Kogi, where traditional leaders were allegedly disregarded, and the outgoing governor was given undue recognition.

He also criticized a serving senator for removing his shoes and kneeling for Yahaya Bello.

Expressing his discontent, Kadiri questioned the standards of the ruling party, stating, “What manner of a ruling party is this? Tell me. I cannot continue to take this nonsense.”

He particularly denounced the prospect of Yahaya Bello becoming the national chairman of the APC, saying: “A failed governor now wants to be the national chairman of the party; he wants to take over from Ganduje.

“Don’t we have standards? Now, immediate past Kogi Governor of Kogi, Yahaya Bello’s posters are all over Abuja he wants to take over from Ganduje. How can we go from one failure to another falure?”
