Ganduje finally accepts blame for Kano mysterious deaths

The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje has finally accepted blame for the mysterious deaths in his state.

He said the death was caused following failure to test suspected Coronavirus cases.

Speaking through a statement by his spokesperson, Abba Anwar, Mr Ganduje noted that the spread is uncontrollable. hence the state is in trouble.

“There is no doubt that Kano is in trouble. And there is no doubt that we started on a shaky foundation. When samples were taken to Abuja for 7 hours and came back again in 7 hours, that was the shaky foundation I am talking about.

“We then lodged our complaint to President Muhammadu Buhari, who ordered for the establishment of a Testing Centre at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, which after take-off was shut down for some days if not weeks.

“That was what escalated the transmission of the disease up to community transmission.”

Mr Ganduje said the state has the capacity to collect 600 samples on a daily basis.

Kano is the state with the second-highest cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

  1. It’s unfortunate that the likes of Gov Ganduje are living in denial of the devastating pandemic. Sometimes I start wondering how we allow people who have no business in government to take over our political space of Nigeria. Gov Ganduje is one of the dumbest governor that have been allowed to serve as a governor in Nigeria. The disaster of Kano state is just beginning to manifest. I pray that God will save the poor people of Kano state.

  2. the governor should have also admitted that he lied to Nigerians on TV when he said that just 13 people died in kano when indeed hundreds of people died. Indeed in enlightened societies, the governor should have honourably resigned for falling short of the oath he swore to, to protect the lives o f the people of kano state.
