Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is currently presiding over his first national working committee (NWC) meeting.

The APC NWC meeting is said to be taking place at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

Ganduje was elected as the party’s national chairman during a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Thursday, August 3.

During the NEC meeting, Ajibola Basiru, a former senate spokesperson of the APC, was elected as the party’s national secretary.

Before now, APC Professionals Council has said the opposition parties in the country, particularly, the People’s Democratic Party and the Labour Party were jittery over the emergence of Ganduje.

The council said the opposition parties were currently jittery over the newly elected chairman who wields an array of experience in the management of humans and resources.

According to the council, ex-governor Ganduje has over the years played a significant role in entrenching internal democracy and reconciling aggrieved members within the party.
