Ganduje’s aide shares Donkeys to empower Kano Youths

An aide to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State, Murtala Gwarmai on Thursday shared donkeys to empower youths in the state.

Speaking during the distribution of the items in Kano, Gwarmai, Senior Special Assistant to Ganduje on Youths Development, said one of the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme requested the donkeys.

He stated the beneficiary said the donkeys would be used to transport sand, gravel, and blocks, adding that the animals would go a long way in assisting his business.

Gwarmai noted that the program will continue to provide an avenue for the youths to be self-employed and self-sufficient. He disclosed that no fewer than 40 youths in the state benefited from the programme.

Other items distributed during the event are motorcycles, bicycles, cash prizes worth N100,000, building blocks, and roofing sheets among others.

The event which took place inside the premises of the state’s Ministry for Youths and Sports had in attendance the state Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Kabiru Ado Lakwaya, the Senior Special Assistant on Youths II, Ibrahim Ahmad, and other top officials in the ministry.
