Gombe youths go berserk, loot Seyi Tinubu’s Ramadan palliative [VIDEO]

Youths in Gombe State on Monday, March 24, went berserk while looting palliatives meant to be distributed in the state by Seyi Tinubu, President Bola Tinubu’s son for the Ramadan.

Recall that the president’s son has been on a tour of the Northern states across the country since the beginning of Ramadan.

During his tours, Seyi focuses on speaking to the youths about some of the plans his father has for them and while distributing palliatives to them.

While the action of the president’s son has been applauded by many, others including leaders from the region have condemned the distribution of palliatives by Seyi.

The leaders criticised the president’s son and accused him of sharing ‘cooked rice’ as a form of empowerment to the Northern youths.

Seyi is expected to visit other Norther states including Gombe state, however, things took a different turn as his palliatives which had already arrived the state were vandalised.

A video seen by Politics Nigeria showed some Gombe youths vandalising a truck parked by the roadside while some carted away with cartons of food items, like sugar, pasta, oil, rice among others.

It was gathered that the truck was intercepted by the angry Gombe youths and its contents  about 3,500 cartons of food items – emptied.
