The governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo was full of joy and celebrations following the return of his predecessor, Yahaya Bello from the Kuje Correctional Facility on Friday, December 20.
Recall that the former governor of Kogi State is currently facing charges levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bello is accused of money laundering, corruption and N80 billion fraud charges alleged to have been perpetuated during his tenure as the governor of the state.
After a long ‘hide and seek’ with the anti-graft agency, Bello was arraigned before a court sitting in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
He was later remanded in Kuje Prison as ordered by the court following a N500 million bail and sureties in like sum
In several videos shared on social media, Bello was captured with all smiles while in the company of some of his associates and family members.
Among those who welcomed the governor from his stay at the Kuje correctional facility is the current governor of Kogi state, Usman Ododo.
