Governor Sule speaks on latest Coronavirus death in Nasarawa

The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has spoken on the latest Coronavirus death cases in the state.

Speaking during the review meeting of the state’s COVID-19 committee at Lafia on Thursday, the governir said that the state has only recorded four deaths.

According to him, one of the deceased was a member of the state assembly representing Nasarawa-West out.

So far, the state 90 confirmed cases of COVID-19 of 705 samples that were taken from the state to the Nigeria Centre of Disease Control (NCDC) since the pandemic started.

“Out of the 705 samples taken, we have so far received 658 results and 90 were confirmed positive, while results of the remaining are still being awaited.

“Those receiving treatment at the various isolation centres in the state are so far responding to treatment”.

Speaking further, he said the welfare of the people of the state remains his priority as he continue to fight against deadly coronavirus.

Mr Sule appreciated traditional rulers, security, health personnel, journalists and other stakeholders for their efforts toward containing the disease.
