A popular Nigerian dancer, Solo Jackson, has been killed by some gunmen in Abia State.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that Solo Jackson was allegedly hit by a stray bullet during a robbery attack on a bus he boarded on Wednesday.
The deceased was one of the best dancers in Nigeria’s southeast region, and was fondly called ‘The Slowmo King’.
A source told this newspaper: “He fought for his life after being shot yesterday (Wednesday), but this morning, he gave up the ghost.”
In a piece of related news, the Commissioner of Police Abia State, Mrs Janet Agbede, has presented cheques worth N21.4 million to next of kins of 10 policemen who died while in active service in the state command.
Presenting the cheques at the command headquarters, Umuahia on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, Agbede explained that the money is part of the IGP’s ongoing group life assurance welfare scheme to the families of deceased policemen for the 2020/2021 policy year.
