The AUG Foundation for Orphans and Less-Privileged has extended support to students and vulnerable individuals in Zamfara.

The foundation’s latest initiative aims to alleviate the financial burdens faced by underprivileged students and provide much-needed medical assistance to those in critical need.

On Tuesday, the District Head of Mayana, Alhaji Mustafa Mayana, presented the foundation’s aid to beneficiaries in Gusau. The support included financial assistance for 20 students from tertiary institutions and medical aid for 10 vulnerable individuals.

The foundation’s educational support covered 10 students from the Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda and 10 from the Federal College of Education (Technical) Gusau.

Each student received financial aid ranging between N25,000 and N51,000 to help with their school fees. Alhaji Mayana emphasized the importance of utilizing the funds wisely and encouraged the students to focus on their education.

An official of the foundation, Abdul Bala-Gusau on behalf of the founder of the AUG Foundation, Abdulhafiz Umar Barau, said the gesture was aimed at providing succour to the beneficiaries, considering the current economic hardship in the state.

“This is part of the foundation’s project to support vulnerable students considering the current economic hardship faced by Nigerians.
