Simon Ekpa, a top member of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Monday derided Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari.
Kyari is indicted by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in a case involving a fraudster, Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, commonly known as Hushpuppi. Hushpuppi had pleaded guilty to money laundering.
Recall Usman Baba, the Inspector-General of Police, recommended the suspension of Kyari from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). Acting on the recommendation of IGP Baba, the Police Service Commission (PSC), on Sunday, approved the IG’s request and suspended Kyari.
In a chiding tweet via his known handle, Ekpa insinuated that photos of Kyari’s operations against criminals posted on social media are usually staged.
“Little did Nigerians know that this man was busy killing innocent Nigerians and taking their properties to himself and his colleagues. Each time he stage to his fake operation, he goes with cameraman and nobody is asking questions until now. As he takes cover, cameraman is busy..,” Ekpa wrote.
