“He Was an Exemplary Leader” — Jonathan Pays Tribute to Yar’adua on 13th Anniversary

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has paid tribute to his predecessor, the late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, on the 13th anniversary of his passing.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that in a social media post, Jonathan described Yar’Adua as an exemplary leader who was fair to all and lived above prejudice. He went on to say that Yar’Adua was a man of peace, justice, and accountability.


He continued:
“We look back with appreciation to God for his time on earth and the impact of his leadership on our nation.
“President Yar’Adua was an exemplary leader who lived above prejudice and was fair to all. His public life inspired many positively. I always recall with fondness the pleasant experience of working with him as my boss.
“Today, we remember him for his life of selfless service, dedication and commitment to a united and prosperous nation.
“We will continue to remember him for his developmental strides and his commitment to the peace and progress of Nigeria,” he said.

13 years ago on this day, Yar’Adua passed away while in office, leaving behind a legacy that has continued to be celebrated by many.
