The Nigerian Presidency has reacted to the ongoing forensic audit of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
Presidential media aide, Lauretta Onochie, has declared that some people will lose their jobs at the Commission after the audit has been carried out.
Recall that President Buhari had in October last year ordered a forensic audit of NDDC’s operations from 2001 to 2019 for alleged mismanagement of funds
Also, the NDDC’s Interim Management Committee is under investigation for alleged mismanagement of N40bilion.
In a tweet via her Twitter handle on Friday, Onochie wondered how the Interim Management Committee set up to oversee the NDDC completed the commission’s headquarters in Port Harcourt in less than 6 months.
The Presidential aide described Buhari’s decision to order an audit of the commission as wise.
She tweeted: “PRESIDENT BUHARI IS WISE.
“NDDC headquarters in Port Harcourt, Completed in less than 6 months of the Interim Management Committee set up to oversee the NDDC. Completed After 20 years!
“A Forensic Audit on the NDDC is also going on. Heads will Roll.”
