The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has suffered a tragic loss as two of its personnel were killed in a banditry attack in Kebbi State.
The incident occurred at the Garin Garba entry point, approximately 12 kilometres from the Kangiwa headquarters of Arewa Local Government Area.
The spokesperson for the state command, Abdullahi Isa, confirmed the unfortunate event, identifying the deceased officers as Isa Nafi’u and Garba Haruna Fana.
He said another officer managed to escape unharmed.
He revealed that the two deceased had been buried in Birnin Kebbi according to Islamic Injunction.
“May the Almighty Allah in His infinite mercy forgive their shortcomings and grant them Jannatil Firdaus and give their immediate families the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss,” he said.
