Hours after one of the Jigawa State All Progressive Congress (APC) delegates, Isah Baba-Buji, slumped and died while getting ready to attend the presidential primary election of the ruling party, an unidentified individual has collapsed at the venue of the APC convention.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that following the incident on Wednesday morning, the person received medical attention. However, it is unclear if the individual has shrugged off the frailty.
This newspaper had reported that Baba-Buji, the Assistant APC chairman in charge of the Jigawa central zone, passed away on Tuesday morning.
He reportedly died of suspected heart failure at Jigawa State Liason Office in Abuja, aged 61.
Voting is still ongoing at the APC presidential primaries 2022.
As of the time of publishing this report, Abia, Adamawa, Lagos and Anambra State delegates, among others have voted. The votes will be counted as soon as delegates complete their voting.
