Governor Nasir El-Rufa’i on Sunday said he is too busy governing the state to engage in needless back and forth online.
This was in reply is to comments and calls triggered by recent killings and kidnappings in the state.
El-Rufa’i took to his Twitter page to reply a user @innomside, who lamented the governor’s silence over the incidents and wrote: “I am becoming uncomfortable with @elrufai‘s criminal silence to your questions, or maybe he has deactivated his Twitter handle.”
The governor, in his reply, said: “ONCE & FINAL RESPONSE: I do not respond to every dimwit who never voted in Kaduna State on my TL. I am trying to govern our State & disinterested in being a public commentator/responder to publicity/follower-seeking, anonymous & jobless clowns with neither credentials nor address.

After several criticisms of his tweets, he fired another shot indirectly at Aisha Yesufu, the co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) initiative.
This is so sad. Nasir El Rufai @elrufai had time to focus on me and not on citizens in his State being kidnapped. This kidnapping issue is so alarming and it is important that we speak out and make demands.
May they all be found and may God be with you this trying period. https://t.co/sjwz5k37OR— Aisha Yesufu (@AishaYesufu) January 13, 2020
AFTERWORD: The most efficient & effective way to hurt those seeking un-earned attention, cheap retweets & Twitter following is to ignore them. Depression & sychosis set in for ignored inanities & non-entities, manifesting into anger, insults & fabrications. I will forgive you! pic.twitter.com/5lp2oYLOHi
