‘I feel satisfied’, Wike speaks on Tinubu’s commendation of his efforts in FCT

The minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has reacted to the commendation handed to him by President Bola Tinubu during his presidential media chat.

While speaking with some journalists on Sunday, January 19, explained that there is nobody who would be commended by his boss that would not be happy.

He said, “Ask yourself this question, your boss says he’s happy with what you’re doing. How do you feel?

“If your boss says I am happy with what you’re doing. I am happy; I feel satisfied,” Wike said.

The minister, however accused Arise Television crew who was part of the journalists at the presidential media chat for asking an unintelligent question.

He said, “Even though the question was asked mischievously by Arise – with all due respect to you.

“That is what kills journalism. That was a presidential media chat, its so unfortunate that a first class graduate would bring out a single minister, first of all accuse the minister of land grabbing and insinuating that he is a political liability to your (presidents) government.

“To the glory of God, he was embarrassed and after Mr President answered him, he couldn’t answer any questions again,” he stated.

The minister further urged Nigerians and people in authority to ensure that they are not beclouded by their personal interests while attending to national issues.

He said, “And this is what we have been saying, everyone has a role to play to ensure that we must not allow out personal interests to overshadow things.”
