Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has congratulated his Deputy, Hon. Philip Shaibu, on his 54th birthday, expressing profound gratitude for Shaibu’s unwavering support over the seven years of shared governance.
The governor’s message amidst the political feud between the duo for th 2024 governorship election.
While Obaseki is said to favour boardroom guru and lawyer Itua Ighodalo as his successor, Shaibu has declared for the seat against the governor’s wishes.
Governor Obaseki commended Shaibu’s relentless commitment and vigour in spearheading the state’s transformative agenda, crediting him as an instrumental force in Edo’s developmental journey.
Beyond his contributions to governance, the governor also praised Shaibu for exemplifying exceptional qualities as a family man, underscoring his role as an admirable husband and father.
