Famous American actor and TV personality Jamie Foxx stated that his recent health challenges took him to hell.
Recall that the actor was rushed to the hospital in April while on the “Back in Action” set in Atlanta; meanwhile, family and friends kept the details of his illness a secret, leading to several speculations about his health.
The actor posted a video on his Instagram page on Saturday, addressing the issue for the first time since he was discharged.
He said the illness was something he never expected to go through.
Foxx also explained that he chose not to disclose details of the illness because he did not want fans to see him and get scared during the critical moments.
His words:
“I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates but to be honest with you; I just didn’t want you to see me like that, man. I want you to see me laughing, having a good time partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, television show.
“I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was gonna make it through”.
He also credited his family for respecting his wishes and supporting him during his recovery.
He further debunked some rumours about his health, stating that he neither went blind nor paralysed.
The actor was sighted in public for the first time after his recovery earlier in July. He heartily waved at fans during a boat ride in Chicago.
