The Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, has declared that he will reveal the truth about the company’s operations when the time is right.
Kyari made this assertion on Wednesday while testifying before a Senate ad-hoc committee investigating alleged economic sabotage in the petroleum industry.
Led by Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the committee is probing the oil firm’s activities amidst controversy and public scrutiny.
Kyari denied any involvement in the importation of sub-standard products, stating that NNPCL is committed to transparency and honesty.
The CEO expressed frustration over unfair media attacks, which he believes are aimed at tarnishing the company’s reputation and creating the impression of economic sabotage.
“We are not criminals, we are not thieves,” Kyari said. “We will protect our dignity so we can serve this country.”
Kyari also revealed that the oil and gas industry is bleeding, hinting at undisclosed issues which “they” knew that cannot be made public “until the time comes.”
He advocated for live television coverage of future committee sessions to ensure accountability and transparency.

Look at public servants claiming right !! He doesn’t want to expose the rubbish and corruption going on until he leaves office is what he is Inferring !!
Meanwhile he is supposed to be answerable to the people! What arrogance and posturing.
Do you have to wait for when the time comes? that must be after considerable damage must have been done to the country. Say the truth now and save yourself more trouble in the future.
Politicians have destroyed this country beyond the reasoning of Nigerians.

Since NNPCL is a limited liability company, it ought to in the first place be having at least one annual shareholders meeting, publishing it’s financial balancesheet and paying dividends to shareholders, so may Mele Kyari please tell us how many shareholders meetings his NNPCL has had since his being the CEO, or for that matter, how many dividends his NNPCL have declared and paid to the shareholders or public balancesheet statements? None whatsoever, and that means Mele Kyari is not CEO of any limited liability company but a CEO of cabals or scoundrels called NNPCL. Not long ago the fool Tinubu hurriedly renewed Kyari’s tenure when it expired about three months ago, and I concluded right there that Tinubu is certainly one of the NNPCL cabals because he failed to use that opportunity to sack and probe Mele Kyari of NNPCL whom he Tinubu himself had claimed were the people chopping fuel subsidy money. All of you Mele Kyari and Tinubu are co-rogues and scoundrels in oil sector.
