A former Board member of the Oyo State Sports Council and one-time Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Information and Orientation to late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Biyi Adeshina, commonly called D Don, is dead.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Adeshina, who delved into politics in 1999, is from Ido Local Government Area (LGA) of Oyo state.
Circumstances surrounding Adeshina’s demise were unclear, but his exit was confirmed on Monday by Isaac Fayose, a younger brother to former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose.
“The Great Don. Rest In Peace Biyi Adeshina,” Fayose wrote on his known Facebook page.
The deceased operated a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Biyi Adeshina Foundation, which helps to ‘alleviate the plight of the need’.
This newspaper understands that the Foundation has assisted pensioners, widows, aged and disabled persons.
