“I’ll return to God for votes in 2027” – APC governor declares

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has responded to critics of his administration, declaring that he will seek re-election in 2027 not from his detractors, but from God.

Addressing All Progressives Congress (APC) members at the Government House ahead of the February 15 state council elections, Radda stated that he would not engage with critics for votes, but rather rely on divine support.

Speaking in Hausa, he made it clear that his mandate from 2023 was given by God, and it is to God he will turn when the time comes to seek re-election.

He said, “Some people have circumcised themselves to side talks saying it is a period of four years I will do and come back to them, but who told you that I am coming back to you? For me, I will return to He (God) who gave me this mandate in 2023 to seek for my re-election in 2027.”

Radda also declared that the era of rigging elections through ballot box manipulation was over and urged APC members to continue mobilizing voters to ensure the party’s success in the upcoming local council elections.
