Insecurity: Again, Buhari told to resign

Sani Liti, the Katsina State Chapter Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has told Muhammadu Buhari to immediately resign over rising insecurity in the country.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Liti made this call on Monday during a press briefing held in Katsina, Buhari’s home state.

According to him, President Buhari has clearly failed in his major duty of securing the lives and properties of citizens.

“The Buhari government has not only failed to uplift the lives of Nigerians, as he promised but soaked the country into deeper corruption and misery. In the event of the President dragging a foot or refusing to resign, we urge the National Assembly to apply constitutional means to save the lives and properties of Nigerians,” Liti said.

Buhari has about 10 months to the completion of his tenure as president.

Despite calls by the opposition for him to quit, he has remained adamant.
