Insecurity: We will do more to bring peace to Nigerians in 2025 – CDS

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa has assured Nigerians that the military would put in more efforts to ensure that peace is delivered to the people.

Speaking on Monday, January 6, while visit front line troops under the umbrella of the Operation Safe Haven in two states – Kaduna an Plateau – the CDS said military fight against insurgents would yield better results in 2025.

Stating that the past year was quite challenging especially for the military, Musa said he wants to see a renewed and greater vigour in the quest to combat terrorists in the country in this new year.

The CDS also addressed the troops of the 2 National Mission Brigade in Samaru Kataf, Kaduna and those of the Sector 8 Mangu, Plateau which were newly established by the Nigerian Military.

He urged the troops to ensure that they stay alive to their responsibilities of respecting and protecting citizens rights at all times.

He also charged them to ensure they stay away from illegal activities that could ride off on their image of that of the institution which they represent.
