Detained leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on Thursday, asked his followers to be patient “to enable separatists to see the manifestation of the Will of God”.
In a statement signed by Ifeanyi Ejiofor, IPOB’s Lead Counsel, obtained by POLITICS NIGERIA, Kanu said his “sacrifice” will not go in vain.
Ejiofor was providing an update on the routine visit of the IPOB leader’s legal team to the separatist. Kanu is presently in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja.
“Onyendu (Kanu) continues to urge Ezigbo UmuChineke to maintain calm as you have always done, while expressing his firm belief that this journey will end in Glory,” Ejiofor’s statement reads in part.
“Most importantly, Onyendu assures you all that his present incarceration in solitary confinement is a sacrifice that will not go in vain. He solicits your understanding, patience and cooperation to enable us to see the manifestation of the Will of God in this regard.
“Thank you all, Ezigbo UmuChineke and remain hugely blessed. We move!”
