Uche Mefor, estranged Deputy-Leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Wednesday berated the group for its “criminality”.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that IPOB on Tuesday said that senseless attacks are not part of its mandate and it is not a violent group and cannot stoop to the level of attacking Police stations, because its members are not unknown gunmen.
IPOB denied having hand in what it called an “ignoble and despicable” attack on Police stations in the South East, particularly Imo State, urging the federal government of Nigeria and the Department of State Services (DSS) to beam its searchlight on the Imo State government to unravel who are the unknown gunmen that have not allowed peace to reign in the state.
Reacting to IPOB’s rebuttal, Mefor wrote on his official Facebook page: “When I told you, Indigenous People of Biafra under Nnamdi Kanu (IPOB) that your atrocities, NEMESIS will catch up with you who lie, blackmail, threaten and actually carry out/perpetrate all manner of human rights violations——including targeted assassinations/extra-judicial murders, torture , enforced disappearances and inhumane and degrading treatments against your own people and in Igboland, this is just the beginning.
“Look at how you are shamelessly and unconscionably denying the atrocities you committed in broad daylight.
“I have told you, for turning your weapons against Biafrans especially the Igbos , and spilling their blood on the streets of Biafraland and especially in Igboland, you have wounded the spirits and desecrated the land. And as a consequence, you shall continue to disintegrate into useless criminal gangs and shall destroy yourselves by yourselves. You have completely dented the Biafra struggle beyond imagination with your criminality.”
