Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli’s prime minister, has been released from hospital after heart surgery.
A government spokesperson reported that Netanyahu (73 years) left the Sheba Clinic near Tel Aviv on Monday, July 24.
Netanyahu was seen in a video after the surgery saying he is in “excellent health”.
The aged leader was fitted with a pacemaker(a small, battery-powered device that prevents the heart from beating too slowly) recently.
This happened hours before a critical parliamentary vote on his planned judicial reforms, which is scheduled for later on Monday in the Israeli parliament in Jerusalem.
It was gathered that while in the hospital, Netanyahu met with opposition leader Yair Lapid as part of efforts by President Isaac Herzog to reach a compromise ahead of the vote.
