“It’s an Insult for you to ask Nigerians to prove they can speak English” – Omokri to UK Govt

A strong message has been sent to the government of the United Kingdom (UK)by Reno Omokri, a former media aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan.

According to Omokri, it is wrong for the UK to ask Nigerians to prove they can speak English before they are given study visa.

Omokri who disclosed this on his Twitter page said he made his reservations known to the UK High Commissioner to Ghana.

He said:

“It is an insult for the UK to ask Nigerians to prove they can speak English before giving them study visa-Omokri tells UK High Commissioner to Ghana.”

Meanwhile, Nigerians on social media have praised him for his speech.

Otunba GCFRN in his reaction wrote: “Very beautiful speech. I love the way you exposed their hypocrisy! Nice one Reno!”
Iamempero said: “Now you’re doing what we expect of you. I’m happy you’re a changed man now! No more toxic tweets etc… this is what I called good ambassador, keep it up. We need more of this kind.
Sa’eed added: “Barriers must be removed for seamless trade between Commonwealth nations. Commonwealth needs to be repositioned or remodel to mirror what is currently obtainable in G7.”
