It may not help in an encounter with bandits – Shehu Sani chides CDS Musa on self-defence advice

A former lawmaker, Shehu Sani has reacted to the call by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa for Nigerians to develop self-defence skills.

Sani, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the Eighth Senate it is important for citizens to engage in acts of self-defence in case of eventualities.

Recall that the CDS while speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today urged Nigerians to learn self-defence skills.

However, reacting to Musa’s advice, Sani urged Nigerians to take up classes in Judo, Karate, Kung fu, Taekwondo, Boxing and the likes.

He also warned Nigerians to understand that such combat skills would not save them in an encounter with bandits.

Sani wrote on X, “The CDS my Brother Musa, recommended combat skills for self-defence.

“I suggest everyone should enrol for training in any of the following; Judo, Karate, Kung fu, Taekwondo, Boxing or Wrestling but it may not help you in case of Bandits,” the former lawmaker said.
