The newly-appointed minister of sports, John Owan Enoh, says he has been reading about his job description since he lacks the needed experience for the role.
Despite not having a proper background knowledge for the role, President Bola Tinubu assigned Enoh to become the country’s 36th minister of the highly technical sector.
Enoh, who has been into farming before transitioning, however, insists he is getting up to speed.
“I didn’t lobby to be sports minister,” Enoh declared while reacting criticisms that he is unfit for the position.
“President Bola Tinubu saw me fit and decided to put the task of building sports in Nigeria [on me].
“Since I was assigned this portfolio, I have been reading about sports,” he announced.
Politics Nigeria reported that President Tinubu, on Monday, inaugurated 45 ministers screened by the Senate.
