JAMB error: Former lawmaker begs Nigerians to sheathe their swords

A former lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has called on candidates affected by the error made by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to sheathe their swords.

Sani, while reacting to the outrage from Nigerians on the magnitude of such an error on candidates’ future, said no human or technology is above mistake.

In a post on X, the former lawmaker and activist commended the registrar of JAMB, Ishaq Oloyede, for admitting that the examination body erred in the recently released 2025 UTME results.

Sani, while calling on Nigerians to do well by forgiving the registrar, said it is important that Oloyede is given the opportunity to redeem the institution.

He also said that the JAMB registrar has done honourable by admitting ghat the examination body experienced such a technical glitch in the results released to the public.

“Its better than being arrogant, recalcitrant or looking for scapegoats. He made mistakes but was humble to admit it.

“The affected persons should sheath their swords, please,” Sani wrote.
