Jandor finally breaks silence on owing staff salaries

Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, on Thursday said he has never owed his employees’ salaries.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that recently, Gbenga Samuel-Wemimo, a former staff of Core TV News, a media organisation owned by Jandor, narrated how he was forced to resign after the PDP flag-bearer allegedly didn’t pay salaries for 9 months.

Samuel-Wemimo, the founder of Supernatural Christian Ministry, shared his ordeal via series of tweets following allegations by Bayo Onanuga, one of the spokesperson of the Bola Tinubu Presidential Campaign Committee that ThisDay/Arise TV owner, Nduka Obaigbena, owes his staff salaries.

Reacting, Samuel-Wemimo shared his experience as a news producer with Core TV and how the situation became so bad that staff members stole money from one another in the newsroom.

But reacting during his interview on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, Jandor denied the allegation.

“There is nothing like me owing anybody. Why do you have to wait for seven, eight years to come out and say somebody owed you?

“We went on the profile of this person to check who he is, and they realized he has had some pictures with Babajide Sanwo-Olu and all of that,” Jandor said.
