Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who is the Special Adviser for Drainage and Water Resources to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said the 2023 presidential election which produced Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president, was not rigged.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Igbokwe criticised the opposition elements who he described as “nattering nabobs and free loaders” for discrediting the February 25 election.
Igbokwe, from Anambra State and a protégé of Tinubu, cited the president-elect’s loss in Lagos State and President Muhammadu Buhari’s defeat in his home-state of Katsina as proofs of the credibility of the 2023 election.
“Candidate Tinubu lost Lagos, President Buhari lost Katsina, APC Chairman Adamu (Abdullahi) lost Nasarawa and yet the compulsive liars, Nattering Nabobs and free loaders are still saying the election was rigged. Ndi araaaa,” Igbokwe wrote on his known Facebook page.
