JUST IN: 139 Nigerians repatriated from Niger Republic [PHOTOS]

One hundred and thirty-nine Nigerians have been repatriated from Agadez, Niger Republic, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has said.

NEMA noted that the returnees were repatriated through its Kano Operations Office on Tuesday, July 29.

A statement by the agency said the repatriation process of these Nigerians from Agadez is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safe and dignified return of all migrants.

It added that the returnees were brought back to the country via the Sky Mali flights.

They landed at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) at approximately 7:57 pm, NEMA said.


It also noted that the returnees included 22 male adults, 52 female adults, 33 male children and 32 female children.

“The returnees were documented and were subsequently transported to Badala Hotel for accommodation, and profiling took place the following day, 30th July 2025.

“The reception exercise was well coordinated and successfully conducted,” NEMA said in the statement.
