JUST IN: Abba Yusuf Reinstates Muhuyi Magaji as Kano Anti-corruption Boss

Abba Yusuf, the Governor of Kano, has reinstated Muhuyi Magaji as the Chairman of the esteemed Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC).

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that a press statement, issued by Sanusi Bature, the Governor’s spokesperson, revealed that Magaji’s reinstatement was crucial to ensuring the successful conclusion of his tenure.

Bature further emphasized that this decision was made in immediate compliance with a court order.

Breaking: Governor Abba Kabir Reinstates Barr. Muhuyi Magaji as Kano Anti-corruption Boss

His Excellency Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Executive Governor of Kano State, has approved the reinstatement of Barr. Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado as Chairman of the Public Complaints and Anti-corruption Commission, PCACC, to complete his tenure.

Recall that Barr Muhyi was suspended from office by the previous administration in questionable circumstances.

The reinstatement is with immediate effect and in compliance with court order .

Muhuyi Magaji was suspended for a month on July 2021 by the Ganduje-led administration over his alleged opposition to the posting of an accountant to the agency from the Office of the Accountant-General of the state.

However, the National Industrial Court in Abuja in December 2022 ruled that Magaji, is the substantive head of the commission.

The court ordered Kano State Government to pay Mr Magaji his outstanding salaries and arrears
