Tanimu Yanware, the Sole Administrator of Tsafe Area Development Council of Zamfara, who was abducted by armed bandits earlier this year, has been killed.
POLITICS NIGERIA learnt that Yanware was killed while trying to escape from the armed bandits’ camp along Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State.
The late LCDA boss spent three months in captivity.
Recall that Yanware was abducted alongside several others along Funtua-Tsafe highway in March while returning from Dandume, a Local Government Council in Katsina State.
The kidnappers called and asked his family to pay N20 million ransom.
Armed gangs of men, known locally as bandits, have killed and kidnapped hundreds across northwest Nigeria over the past two years, typically operating from remote forests.
The country’s thinly stretched armed forces have struggled to secure the large, remote regions.
Despite military fighter jets dropping bombs on the terrorists, they have not ceased to perpetrate their nefarious acts.
Gumni says they don’t want a new government that will come and begin to kill the bandits and terrorists, because they are their brothers and soldiers. If the rest of the northerners share this view, then, one can only say good luck to them for all the people that are being kidnapped, turtured, maimed and killed on daily basis in the north. And to sustain the jihad, they must ensure they vote Atiku Abubakar. But if they want to stop the war and live a peaceful life, then Peter Obi is the answer. If Gumni and the Fulanis are still allowed to use religion to continue to deceive, desecrate, destroy, kidnap and subjugate you, what can I say but good luck to you. If after 200 yrs of slavery you still willingly decide to be slaves in a region where no other northerner whether moslem or christian, Hausa or Nupe, Jukun, Kanuris or Tiv, is qualified or can become a governor, or context for Presidency, not even to become a local chief equivalent to a sultan or emir, and cannot lead in the mosque as an Imam, even God will not help you because you don’t deserve it nor ask for it. Mr Ogueze please be informed that Northerners don’t share Gumi’s opinion. He’s on his own! In fact we are greatly disappointed on his nonchalant attitude towards the victims of the bandits barbaric acts. He’s obviously against all his revered and pious father believed in during his meritorious lifetime.
