Information reaching POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the Abia State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Solomon Ogunji, is dead.
It was learned that Ogunji died at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital, Aba on Saturday after a brief illness related to high blood pressure.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu who received the sad news with shock yesterday has personally communicated and condoled with the family of the bereaved and is currently in mourning.
The government prays that the Almighty God will give the family of Dr Ogunji the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and rest his soul in the bosom of the Lord.
The deceased was the former Special Adviser on Urban Renewal to the governor in his first term. He lost the Senate seat of Abia South in the 2019 elections.
