JUST IN: Akeredolu Meets Ondo NASS Members In Ibadan After Resumption of Duties

Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Friday held a stakeholders’ meeting with members of the National Assembly from the state.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the meeting, which was held at Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, instead of the Governor’s office in Akure, was attended by Senator Jide Ipinsagba, who represents Ondo North Senatorial District; Hon. Timehin Adelegbe, who represents Owo/Ose Federal Constituency; Hon. Donald Ojogo, who represents Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency; Hon. Festus Akingbaso, who represents Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency; Hon. Jimi Odimayo, who represents Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency; and Hon. Gboyega Adefarati, who represents Akoko South West/South East Federal Constituency.

In his address, Governor Akeredolu reiterated his commitment to the realisation of the deep seaport project, which he described as “essential for the economic development of the state.”

He urged the federal lawmakers to collaborate with the state government to ensure the success of the project.

Senator Ipinsagba, on behalf of the National Assembly members, assured the Governor of their support for the project.

He also expressed gratitude to the Governor for his leadership and his commitment to the development of the state.

The meeting was also attended by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Olugbenga Oyetola; and other top government officials.

Recall that on Thursday, Mr. Akeredolu returned from Germany after being treated for an undisclosed, protracted ailment.
