On Friday, Thursday, December 13, Allen Onyema, the chairman and Executive Director of Air Peace visited the Presidential Villa in Abuja where he met with President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement issued on Friday, chairman of the airline met with the president to discuss issues relating to the achievements of the President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in the aviation sector.
The meeting also aimed at addressing strategies that could be adopted for the improvement of business operations across the industry and Nigeria as a whole.
Speaking after the meeting, Onyema said he is confident that the President Tinubu’s administration would foster stability and promote development within the aviation industry.
He also commended the president on various reforms that the minister of aviation and aerospace development, Festus Keyamo has championed since assuming office.
He said, “The President is a businessman, and he is trying to stabilise businesses with his policies, but people don’t realise this. Some of us in business understand what the President is trying to do, and we appreciate him, especially in the aviation industry.
“What he is doing is the real restructuring of the country. Many Nigerians think restructuring means dividing the country along regional lines, but what Tinubu is doing is genuine restructuring by changing how we operate as a nation to achieve better results in the long term,” the Air Peace boss said.
