As Nigeria continues to contend with the Naira crisis, some cash-strapped residents of Lagos on Wednesday morning set fire to an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in Idi-Araba area of the state after it ran out of cash.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that the nearest police patrol was dispatched to the scene, the angry crowd was put under control and normal banking activities resumed.
Benjamin Hundeyin, a police superintendent who is the incumbent Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed the incident via a statement on Wednesday afternoon.

some state government are now urging the public to disobey the instruction of CBN, if they have inability to fight out the redesign policy let them agree with the federal government. our hope on them is now becoming hopeless, no need for this.
