Prince Samuel Ogwuche Akpa, an elder brother of the Attah Igala in Kogi State, Mathew Opaluwa Ogwuche11, is dead.
POLITICS NIGERIA learnt that the deceased who vied for the crown with his younger brother recently, became ill early Monday morning and died in the evening of the day.
He passed away in his mid-60s in Idah town.
Furthermore, this newspaper gathered that late Ogwuche Akpa suffered from a partial stroke earlier.
Until his death on Monday, late Sam, as he is commonly addressed, was a retired senior staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the country’s apex financial institution.
Tributes have been pouring in for late Ogwuche Akpa as many indigenes of Kogi were shocked by his sudden demise.
