JUST IN: APC Expels Suspended State Chairman, 8 Others For Gross Misconduct

Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) including the chairman of the Enugu State chapter, Ugochukwu Agballah have been expelled by the party.

The acting chairman of the state, Alphonsus Nwofor and the state’s publicity secretary, Charles-Solo Akor announced the expulsion in a statement issued on Tuesday, February 25.

According to the statement, the former executive members who were previously suspended were expelled for gross misconduct.

The statement added that the affected members have consistently disobeyed various orders of the court restricting them from parading themselves as executive members of the party.

It said, “The leadership of APC Enugu State Chapter do hereby officially expel Ugochukwu H. Agballah, Augustine Alumona, Jude Chinedu Aniogbo, Moses Emeka Eze, Sunday Ugwoke, Ugwu Christian Kanayo, Eze Chidiebere Johnson, Queen Charles, and Onyekachi T. Ezeagu from APC Enugu State Chapter.”

The statement said the members were also restrained from holding meeting as leaders of the APC Enugu State Executive Committee.

They were also accused on undermining the APC’s constitution as well as intimidating party members who identified with the president.

“This decision reflects our firm stance on accountability and ethical governance. The integrity of our Party is non-negotiable. We will not allow individuals who undermine our mission and principles to remain within our ranks,” the statement said..
