The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially inaugurated the Screening and Appeal Committees tasked with overseeing the selection process for the Ondo State Governorship aspirants.
The one-day screening exercise commenced immediately after the inauguration, with the Screening Committee led by former Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Joshua Lidani, and Secretary Bimbo Daramola.
Notable committee members include Pastor Jones Erue, Chief Second Bakor, Magaret Duru, Prof. Chukwudi Ledirick, and Abdul Balogun.
Simultaneously, the Appeal Committee, headed by Senator Oseni Yakubu, was sworn in to ensure transparency and fairness. Other committee members include Emmanuel Ekeh, Pious Idele, and Ibrahim Magaji Dosara.
Speaking after the oath-taking ceremony, Magaret Duru stressed the importance of conducting a thorough and unbiased screening process in line with the party’s constitution.
Despite the compressed timeframe, she expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to carry out their duties diligently.
Notably absent from the ceremony were the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje and secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru.
