The National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore has shed light on his decision to leave the party’s emergency National Working Committee (NWC) meeting.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Omisore was allegedly denied entry to the ongoing meeting at the APC National Secretariat.
Omisore arrived at the secretariat around 11:20 am, eager to join fellow NWC members in the crucial meeting. However, he was reportedly met with resistance and prevented from participating in the discussions.
This development follows the resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the party’s National Chairman, and subsequent takeover of leadership by Senator Abubakar Kyari, Deputy National Chairman (North).
Addressing reporters on the matter, Omisore disclosed that upon discovering the absence of the party’s national chairman at the meeting, he swiftly made the decision to leave the secretariat.
“I’m going to meet with the National Chairman, Adamu, to know why he’s not here.”
“I want to meet Adamu, and find out what’s wrong,” the politician said.
